Kristin & Derek’s wedding day at Mammoth Mountain was the perfect reminder that mountain weddings always come with a little adventure — especially in the springtime. In the Eastern Sierra, spring can mean sunshine one moment and a full snowstorm the next… and their wedding day brought the most beautiful blizzard imaginable.
As snow fell heavily across the mountain, the original outdoor ceremony plans shifted indoors to McCoy Station so family and friends could stay warm and comfortable while still taking in the incredible snowy atmosphere outside. The change of plans ended up creating such a cozy, intimate setting for their heartfelt ceremony, surrounded by glowing windows and dramatic winter views.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered inside Parallax Restaurant for an evening filled with craft cocktails, delicious food, laughter, and plenty of dancing. The snowstorm outside made the warm candlelit reception feel even more magical, creating the kind of unforgettable mountain wedding experience that guests will be talking about for years to come.
From the snowy gondola ride to the cozy reception celebration high above Mammoth Lakes, Kristin & Derek embraced every unexpected moment with so much joy and excitement. Congratulations again to this amazing couple on such a beautiful and unforgettable wedding day!
